Mariner's View Cottage

Mariner's View is one in a small row of terraced cottages, looking directly south, situated at the tip of the mainland just before the causeway that connects with Portland. The views from the cottage, being in a slightly elevated position, are magnificent. The photograph at the top of this page is what you see from the front windows. Step outside, and from the end of the terrace you see the white cliffs of Ringstead: to the west you see Chesil Beach, and straight ahead are the yachts and wind-surfers in Portland Harbour, backed by the long sloping line of Portland.
